What If I Am Claiming For A Child?

If you are claiming for a child who has been injured in an accident, you do not have to wait until their 18th birthday.  As they are deemed under age by the law, it is necessary for a litigation friend to act on their behalf.  This may be a close relative, adult friend, social worker or someone appointed by the courts.  Please note that it is unlikely that a litigation friend can act on their behalf if they were involved in the same accident.
